Mary Ann Dyar

Adult Redeploy Illinois Program, Program Administrator

As Program Administrator, Mary Ann is responsible for coordinating the disbursement of grants to local jurisdictions to expand alternatives to incarceration; assisting with the formulation of policies and procedures for the program; conducting technical assistance for and monitoring grantees; managing communication, outreach and reporting strategies for the program; and staffing the Adult Redeploy Illinois Oversight Board.

Mary Ann completed her masters degree in public policy at the University of Chicago’s Harris School with a concentration in Poverty and Inequality. Before returning to school, she was Director of Corporate & Foundation Relations for the Greater Chicago Food Depository, the primary hunger relief agency for Chicago and Cook County. Prior to that, she was Development Manager for the Community Harvest Food Bank of Northeast Indiana, Inc. She holds degrees in Accounting and Political Science from Indiana University-Bloomington and served two years as a Peace Corps volunteer in Kenya, East Africa (1991-1993).
