This program is being run by Operation ASHA since 2016 in Kompong Thom Province of Cambodia. To improve its efficiency and cost, Operation ASHA developed a trip tracker technology application to monitor the movement of ambulances. This has improved the productivity, which has helped serve additional villages and simultaneously reduce costs. It usually transports 2,000 patients every year from remote villages to health facilities and hospitals in nearby towns and cities, where they can get proper healthcare. Many hardships are ameliorated and lives saved by these ambulance.
