Dr. D.R. Arora is working in various capacities with Ministry of Finance- Department of Revenue, Government of India in Central Revenue Chemical Service since 1973. He was engaged in the analysis of opium and its alkaloids for two years. He is carrying out analysis, supervision and administration work in various Central Excise and Customs Labs. He is also taking care of classification of various commodities such as chemicals, textiles, drugs, metals etc for their tariff classification and also offering technical opinions there on. He worked as a Research Assistant for two years in ICMR (Indian Council of Medical Research Scheme) from 1971 to 1973. He has an M.Sc in Chemistry.
