An independent professional specialising in communications, investor relations and CSR with over three decades of corporate experience in diverse industries of FMCG, Pharmaceuticals, Speciality Chemicals and Life Insurance. His ability to deeply understand the business, combined with storytelling skills, has facilitated corporates in effectively communicating with their stakeholders. 

During his career, Abhinav has headed Corporate Communications, Investor Relations and CSR functions at leading Indian corporates like Dabur India, Jubilant Organosys and Max Life Insurance. He has been instrumental in repositioning Dabur India as a modern FMCG company having roots in Ayurveda from an earlier image of traditional family owned Ayurvedic products company. This resulted in rerating of Dabur and significant increase in its market valuation. Abhinav has also been the part of core team, led by Chairman of the company, at Jubilant Organosys that worked on establishing the company as Custom Research & Manufacturing and Pharmaceutical major. This resulted in enhanced interest of investor community in Jubilant Organosys which brought about almost 20x increase in market valuation over a short period of five years and helped the company raise USD 310 million through three tranches of FCCB issuance to support its growth agenda. Abhinav was also responsible for initiating Sustainability Reporting (as per GRI standards) which helped in enhancing exports business of the company. Jubilant Organosys was one of the first few companies in India to undertake sustainability reporting. 

Over the past 13+ years Abhinav was heading Corporate Communications, Customer Communication and CSR at Max Life Insurance. He was responsible for setting up Corporate Communications department and over the past five years significantly enhanced his focus on Internal Communications also to manage shareholders transition and M&A activity. He has been leading CSR function and provided strategic direction to the same after significant increase in CSR spends from FY 2008 onwards when it was made mandatory as per the Company’s Act. He also set up the employees volunteering programme called ‘Pehal’ which resulted in more than 5,000 employees volunteering for activities in the areas of literacy including financial literacy in schools and villages, village adoption, healthcare and environment protection & sanitation. 

Recently, Abhinav has decided to focus on working as an independent consultant in the field of CSR and communications. He is currently working with Operation ASHA as Treasurer on its Board and Vriddha Care as strategic consultant. Operation ASHA is amongst the leading global non-profit organisation fighting against spread of tuberculosis. Vriddha Care is a new NGO that has the vision to be the catalyst to minimise old age destitute and to ensure that globally all old age destitute live the life of dignity.
