Urvashi joined Operation ASHA in April, 2015 as the Director of External Affairs. Previously, she managed the health, water and sanitation portfolio of the Michael & Susan Dell Foundation in India for five years. She recently worked as a consultant for the World Health Organisation in Geneva and Partnership for Child Development, Imperial College London. Urvashi is a member of the World Economic Forum’s Global Shapers Community. She has written on various topics related to public health and gender for the Stanford Social Innovation Review, Huffington Post India, NextBillion.net and the World Economic Forum blog. She completed her Bachelors in Genetics from University of Birmingham, UK followed by an MPhil in Bioscience Enterprise from University of Cambridge, UK and an MSc in Public Health from the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine.

Jacqueline Chen Hui Jie, Country Director Cambodia
Jacqueline is the Country Director of Operation ASHA (Cambodia). She manages the development, communications, operations, technology, human resource and finance portfolios. Jacqueline works closely with the Government, Donors and partner NGOs to eradicate Tuberculosis. She is leading a team to strengthen community systems, secure donor funding and spearheading the drive to introduce grassroots technology to improve patient treatment outcomes in Cambodia.
Prior to OpASHA, Jacqueline was involved in policy work with the Singapore Government. She helped developed the national strategy for community care sector and piloted new care models to meet the healthcare needs of the ageing population. She also reviewed the compensation and career progression structure of doctors and dentists working in the public healthcare sector to increase alignment to public sector ethos and enhance retention.
Jacqueline graduated from the School of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at Nanyang Technological University and obtained a Master in Public Policy from Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy, National University of Singapore.
Navika Harshe, Senior Manager, Research and Program Management
Ms. Navika Harshe, Senior Manager, Research and Program Management, joined OpASHA recently. She has 6 years of professional experience as a researcher and has worked with various government and research organizations, including the Planning Commission and the Lok Sabha (Parliament). She holds a Masters in Public Policy from the Harris School of Public Policy, University of Chicago where she was a Fulbright-Nehru scholar. She also holds a Masters degree in Economics from the University of Hyderabad.
Chief Technical Officer, Abhishek Sinha
Abhishek is the Chief Technical Officer at Operation ASHA. He has been with Operation ASHA for more than two years. Before joining Operation Asha, Abhishek was working as Senior Software Engineer in Epic System, USA, one of the biggest healthcare IT firms in the world. He has more than 3 years of Entrepreneur experience, creating his own start-up in 2003 after graduating in Computer Science from University of Delhi. Abhishek hold Masters’ degrees in Computer Science and Information Assurance from Iowa State University, Iowa, USA.
Dr Vin Samnang (Charlie), Program Director Cambodia
Dr Vin. Samnang is the Program Director of Operation ASHA (Cambodia). He is responsible for developing and managing relationships with the Government and local/international agencies working on Tuberculosis in Cambodia. He also leads the field operations, growing the program from 2 to 5 Health Operational Districts.
Prior to OpASHA, Dr Samnang headed programs in large international NGOs like Mary Knoll International. He also served as Technical Expert on HIV/AIDS for National AIDS Authority in Cambodia. Dr Samnang has more than 10 years of experience working as a physician, providing clinical care and treatment to Tuberculosis and HIV/AIDS patients in Opportunistic Infection / Antiretroviral clinics, hospices and hospitals in Cambodia and Thailand.
Dr Vin Samnang holds a Business Administration Management Degree from National University of Management and a Diploma of Doctor of Medicine from University of Health in Cambodia.
