David A. Bader
Mr. Bader was selected as the director of the first Sony Toshiba IBM Center of Competence for the Cell Processor at the Georgia Institute of Technology. He is an IEEE Fellow, National Science Foundation CAREER Award recipient and an IEEE Computer Society Distinguished Speaker. He has also won highly-competitive awards from the National Science Foundation (NSF), IBM, Microsoft Research, Sony, and Sun Microsystems. He has co-chaired a series of meetings, the IEEE International Workshop on High-Performance Computational Biology (HiCOMB), written several book chapters, and co-edited a special issue of the Journal of Parallel and Distributed Computing on High-Performance Computational Biology. He has co-authored over 100 articles in peer-reviewed journals and conferences.

Mr. Cameron is a multidisciplinary systems engineer and is the Acting head of the Depratment of Innovations and Software Development at the College of Computing and IS, Makere University in Kampala. He has special experience in managing business start-ups and healthcare databases and information systems.
Researcher, Microsoft Research India
Mr. Thies is a researcher in the Technologies for Emerging Markets Group at Microsoft Research India. His research focuses on building appropriate information and communication technologies that contribute to the socio-economic development of low-income communities, as well as the description and automation of biology protocols on platforms such as microfluidic chips. Bill received all of my degrees from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where he completed a Ph.D. in computer science in 2009.
